After doing a POWER TRAINING course... I saw the need to have a device to measure the velocity of contractions... Searching, I found a comparative scientific publication that gave the 1st place to the VITRUVE ENCODER (ex SPEED4LIFTS) so comparing quality/price I decided on this one... being small it is very easy to transport. Another important thing is that I have had direct access to the owners and creators of VITRUVE and they have always been very available when it comes to answering questions (not about the device, but about the VBT training technique) in addition to having a FREE training channel on youtube... so one can learn more how to get the most out of the hours of strength, power and velocity training... so that the athletes can later transfer it to the gesture of the specific sport... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Great Device! I've been using the device for my personal training as well as in the clinic for rehab purposes. The data collection is excellent. Very easy to use. Support is great about getting quick answers back to you as well.
I HAVE ONLY GOOD FEEDBACK FROM MY CUSTOMERS ABOUT THIS ENCODER
I think it's an incredible company, I've known it since it was born and it was love at first sight, spectacular after-sales service and a wonderful, precise and portable encoder. I have worked with other encoders and the best by far highly recommended
Vitruve is the best speed encoder that I have had the opportunity to try as a strength coach. I work in the American College League Division 1 and Vitruve has become my best ally when it comes to training schedules; my athletes use the software without problems and get much more out of their strenght training. I can carry 4-5 athletes with a single Vitruve at a time!
ESSENTIAL. Training with all the facilities that the Vitruve encoder offers is incredible. In addition to being more effective and efficient than the classic %1RM or RIR-based training, being able to monitor training allows you to know where you are at all times and progress much more efficiently. They also have a blog and a YT channel where they explain a lot of concepts and if you are an expert on the subject or if you have just started and do not know the terminology very well or how to train VBT, it will be very useful for you. Easy, affordable, and highly recommended. If you get the chance to own a Vitruve encoder, I wouldn't let it go.
I've been using Vitruve since it was Speed4lifts and I use it to monitor strength training for heart patients. It is essential to quantify the external load in any subject, but it goes without saying how much it is necessary to measure the “dose” of the force medication in this type of population. Well, one day Vitruve stopped linking via bluetooth with the APP. As it is a technology that I use every day and with all these patients I could not carry out any training without it, that is, my activity was paralyzed, so I quickly contacted Vitruve and without asking me anything and without making any excuses they replaced it for me to be able to follow my workouts with the efficiency and safety that the quantification carried out by this device gives me. After this comment, I don't think there are any doubts about my opinion of this company, but in case it hasn't been clear, the company's behavior has been exemplary.
Simply note for my part the agility, consideration and kindness of Vitruve's technical service. It is a real pleasure to be able to work with you like this.
Since I decided to buy two VITRUVE meters during my time as a professional swimming coach, my conviction that strength training should be structured and measured has grown. With absolute or aged swimmers, as it is a small, light and precise device, it helps me control loads and evolve my work. In addition, for the athlete himself, it is an extra motivation to know in real time how he is evolving. Now I have returned to buy two more !!!
I tend to be very meticulous in my programming regarding the manipulation of variables such as series, repetitions, load progression, rest times, etc. However, none of those "statements of intent" can give me IMMEDIATE intra-set FEEDBACK on how I'm doing EACH REP. Something fundamental when you train alone and at most what you can do is record yourself on video to see what happened AFTER it already happened. For me, using the ENCODER means having a CLEAR and MEASURABLE GOAL prior to each set and tremendous motivation to improve the speed of my lifts in each rep range. It is an objective way to measure the EFFORT and the RIR of each series, measuring and planning the desired level of fatigue in order to give the best in each training session. Spectacular for advanced athletes.
Very good and accurate tool to check the speed of the exercises and many other parameters
A quality product and application to collect data to improve performance in powerlifting. 🙌🏼
I had a great experience with Vitruve! The customer service was second to none. All of my questions were answered in a timely manner and they even scheduled a video chat with me to make sure I knew how to use everything properly.
We've been using the unit for a while now and it's been a really great tool for our training. The unit makes it way easier to determine the proper loads for that day. Customer service is really good as well. We had some questions about the unit and they were really friendly and quick to respond.
Improvements over time from a basketball player in trap bar deadlift exercise. After 5 months, he can lift the same weight much faster, almost 50% faster! We don't need to know the daily 1RM, we can ensure he's becoming stronger just by improving the velocity for the same load.
